Fishing Friends and Family

I have tried to keep my private life out of the international fishing spotlight. Through the years I have met and befriended many celebrities, heads-of-state, and small town heroes from around the globe. I would like to share some of my fishing snapshots of friends and family with you. I know that you find them interesting.

I caught this Marlin with Johnny Carson while attending a charity event on his yatch. The crazy thing was that the ship was docked at the time and managed to catch the fish while discussing politics with author Amy Tan. Here I am with a giant catfish that I caught with a young Raul Julia.
Bass fishing with (l-r) Rod Serling, Paul Benedict (aka TV's Bentley from The Jeffersons), Me and Abe "Fish" Vigoda. Here is a picture of me in grammar school, after a 4th grade fishing trip. Not only was I big for my age, but I also caught the biggest fish in the class.
These two aren't really close friends, but they were witness to my first contest victory as a 2 year old. Here is a picture of my Great Grandmother, Ismarelda, who brought fishing into the 20th century by beginning the practice of Baiting her hooks and no longer depending on the previously used "dumb luck" fish catching method.
Here is a picture of Grandpa Vincent and one of his early catches. I try to pass on the family tradition by continuing to wear his hat. Milton Berle may look old, but he is still spry enough to wrestle this sturgeon out of the water with me. After we ate the entire beast, Merle went on for hours on the pleasures of tartar sauce and the dancers of The Texaco Star Theater.
Here I am, chilling with my homies, Snoop Dog and Uncle Milty. We spent the entire halibut fishing trip free-styling over the beats of the engine. I couldn't believe the filthy mouth on Milty. Plus, he stole all his lines off of Biz Markie. Not cool. The Greatest of All Time and The Greatest Fisherman of All Time meet and greet at the Fisherman Times' Sportsman of the Year Ceremonies.
Abe "Fish" Vigoda was a great fishing partner. Now that he's passed on, I always keep a lock of his hair around my neck during fishing trips to remind me of the good times. Eagles Coach and manly man Andy Reid and I hauled in this monster grouper.
